AMERICAN SOLAR WATER HEATING SYSTEM THE BEST WATER HEATING SOLUTION UNDER THE SUN
The American Solar Water Heating System is a complete, integrated system that’s ready to install. The system includes everything you need: water tank (80- or 120-gallon), solar collectors (two or three), pump station and all mounting hardware. It’s an extremely low-impact, eco-friendly technology that takes advantage of existing energy—the sun. And it’s highly efficient. In fact, solar thermal collectors can provide the same amount of energy as photovoltaic solar collectors at 1/8th of the cost.
The “Green,” Cost-Effective Choice
There’s not a “greener” way to heat water than with the sun. It’s the kind of new advanced technology that eco-conscious consumers demand.
Green awareness has made solar power more popular than ever. And volatile energy prices make low-cost solar power and even smarter decision for price-sensitive homeowners.
So, today more than ever, the American Solar Water Heating System is the right choice for living green and reducing energy costs.
The Latest In Solar Technology Provides 2.5-4.0 SEF (Solar Energy Factor) Ratings
The American Solar Water Heating System represents the latest technology, offering homeowners an efficient and advanced way to heat water.
Consider the facts: residential water eaters are second only to air conditioning and heating systems in household energy consumption. Our solar water heating systems can provide up to 70% of the energy needed for water heating directly from the sun.
The American Solar Water Heating System takes energy directly from the sun. Solar collector panels fastened to the roof or a wall facing the sun gather heat. The heat is passed on to a heat transfer fluid (propylene glycol, in this case), which is pumped to a heat exchanger where the energy is transferred to the water in the solar booster tank.
The larger the tank, the more energy you can capture from the sun. Our solar booster tanks are equipped with a supplemental heating element that heats the water when energy from the sun is not available.
How It Works
1) Solar radiation heats the flat plate solar collectors
2) Thermal energy from the sun is passed to a heat transfer fluid, flowing through the collectors.
3) The heat transfer fluid travels through tubes to the storage tank.
4) The heated transfer fluid warms the cooler water in the solar booster tank directly trough an internal heat exchanger coil or indirectly through an external heat exchanger inside the pump station.
5) The solar booster tank will heat the water when energy from the sun is not available using a supplemental heating element.
The system comes complete with solar booster tank, integrated pump station, solar collectors, automatic air vent, standard mounting hardware, roof flashings, thermostatic mixing valve, expansion tank for the solar loop with mounting kit, tank and collector temperature sensors (including 75 ft. lead wire), and propylene glycol (Dow Frost).
Solar Pump Station
Wall mounted with integrated controls—includes multiple speed pump, programmable electronic control with LCD interface display, fill and drain valves, insulation valves, temperature gauges, pressure gauge, pressure gauge, solar lop pressure relief valve, flow meter and air stripper—all in an enclosed, insulated assembly.
Warm Up To The Savings
The American Solar Water Heating System can save money by capturing energy from the sun. But it can also make money for homeowners because, through 2016, it is eligible for a federal tax credit of 30% of the total installation cost (no cap).
